Seriously, fear not--Mt Diablo was/is "made to burn"; I worked the post-fire surveys of North Peak in 1977-78, and the wildlife/wildflower response was amazing...

Structures, humans, sure; but the landscape will be just fine.

What is it with folks on this site? It's always the wildfires that they were at that were the best. :)

The fire at Surprise Valley in 92 was the beginning of the end. A bunch of tsunamis crashed the venue after an avalanche took out the fences.

Gate crashers suck.....especially if they are tsunamis.

I refused to go to any wildfires after 69 they didn't have as much energy
